    Hi Guys.

Kinda at my wits end here as I've had Disc Degeneration for over a year and it's an aching pain. What's worse i'm also only 33 yrs old.

I find stuff like just driving aching pain on my lower back L4 - L5

    Issues through out my back L2 - L3, L4 - L5 and L5 - S1

I've had 2x MRI's, been to Neurosurgeon who recommended a pain specialist to inject stuff in my back to ease the pain, nothing seems to be working

I recently did the 2nd MRI scan as I wanted to see has any thing changed from the first one and no difference in the scans.

The Radiologist sent back a report of the 2nd MRI scan to my Doctor and in the summary a Spinal Orthopaedic and Radiology image guided injection (I think this is what I had done before) was recommended.

I've had a long talk with my doctor and he said the orthopaedic surgeons would probably look to put a rod in my back but flexibility will be gone and ill have a choice of pain now but some flexibility or if I go down the orthopaedic surgeon route I would have a stiff back because of the rod but no pain. My doctor didn't really favour this option tbh

Right now i'm thinking of going for another injection as I know some times they take more than one attempt to get working but I have my doubts' :(

But if that fails what other avenues do I have?

I was thinking of going to he black rock clinic or the Mater Private as they seem to to have Spinal Services department. I want to go to a specialist get them to look at my MRI scan and tell me what's the best route

I dont know what to do, i'm kinda lost at the moment
