    Hi,

I was looking for a suggestion re a nail gun, not a compressor one. I would need an electric one or a battery one.

I was going to attempt some wall panelling(where I just frame the existing wall) The nail gun would need to be able to tack 10mm mdf to a wall.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Screwfix have a number of them at reasonable prices for DIY use, u think they might be Titan and they get good reviews

If you are looking for a finishing gun 18 gauge then I have the Ryobi airstrike nailer. It's an excellent machine and very powerful. Ideal finishing gun. I'd buy it again no issues. It's not that cheap but it just works everytime.

If you are doing first fix work like studs etc and need 16G then the hikoki formally Hitachi battery powered 16G gun would be what id get.

    Beware of cheaper stuff

My brother has one of those. Loves telling me about his latest conquests with it. Swine can't seem to fault it.

Sorry for digging up an old thread. The Ryobi 18guage... Would that be suitable for holding skirting boards in to solid wall/block wall? And them also some finer work in wall panelling/beading etc?

This gun is not suitable for tacking anything to brick/blockwork
