Where would us Boards users be without Cut/Paste? Well, the guy who wrote the original code for it has just passed away.

I'm old enough to have worked in publishing/print at a time before computers where we really did cut and paste galleys by hand when making up pages. When computers came along offering to do the same thing, in milliseconds, it was a complete game changer.

RIP you beautiful man. Many a times the old cut and paste got me out of a jam.

    Boss: 'Outstanding report Yurt!'

Me: 'You're welcome boss, I'm happy you like my completely novel and fresh take on this pressing situation that I absolutely came up with myself.'

Boss: 'Take the rest of the day off, you've earned it.'

*Lights a candle for Cut 'n' paste man*

For the rest of the day my work is solely going to consist of cuttin n' pasting'. Now that is not much different to a normal days work but today, it's in his honour.

    RIP Sir.

But that is just between you and I. To the outside world, I am a 'writer'.

Another visionary from the Xerox stable. The likes of Apple and Microsoft would never have made it out of their parent's garages but for them.

    RIP.
