    Hi
I have osteoarthritis of both knees lower back and both shoulders, p also have chronic tendonitis of the Achilles and chronic widespread pain syndrome
I am off sick due to this at the moment but feel I cannot return to work as the pain is unbearable.
    I am getting illness benefit
Could I apply for invalidity pension and does anyone know if any of these ailments would qualify me please

I dont think anyone can guarantee your entitlement to anything, you'd probably have to get all the relevant forms filled up and by your GP etc.. Local intreo Centre have the application forms for invalidity pension handy.

Your arthritis sounds very like psoriatic arthritis. It is often misdiagnosed as osteoarthritis and the pain in your heel is a dead giveaway. It's like rheumatoid arthritis with all over tendinitis and a rash - but not everyone with it has the psoriatis first.
It took me over 20 years to get a correct diagnosis.

Sorry, meant to add, you might mot be getting the correct treatment if it's psoriatic arthritis. It's autoimmune, progressive, and you can have negative blood tests for markers. It's a seronegative arthritis. Change your rheumatologist!
Or if your gp is treating, get a referral.
As for social welfare, you must desrcribe how it affects you daily as well as send in documents.
But, you may never get better if you're treating the wrong thing. All the best.
