There was a thread on here years ago with the same title, it was one of the funniest threads iv seen on boards.

any stories to share? one of the ones i remember from the thread was where some woman asked her Dad to call around to her house to fix something in her bedroom. it was only when she got home that she saw she had left her huge vibrator standing up on her bedside locker, needless to say she was mortified:pac:

My parents always switched off the TV when sex came on in films. I get that they were trying to protect us, but the way they went about it was just reactionary and stupid.

i know, the whole family watching a film in silence for an hour, then a sex scene comes on "it was busy in town today" i would always leave if i thought a sex scene was coming up. i think if we all lived to be 1000, it would never be easy to watch a sex scene in a film with your parents.

Was it just me or do parents have a sixth sense and walk in on sex scenes in movies?
I could be watching a 3 hour war movie with 1 sex scene 2 and half hours into the movie and that's when they would get home from the shops.

After that the reactions where predictable, mam would tut and go to the kitchen, dad would jump in a chair to watch.
I'm still not sure which was more uncomfortable.

For me this is easy, during college I was going travelling for a summer and my parents came up to say good bye and take my stuff home.

I was a student so didn't have too much, so I packed my stuff into plastic bags which I kept under my desk.
I happened to look out the window as they loaded the bags into the boot and what I thought was a GAME bag (purple) was in fact an Ann Summers bag from a present I had gotten for my then girlfriend (who they didn't know existed).

There was nothing I could do, they waved merrily at me while I stood opened mouth by the window, hopped in and drove off. When I arrived home 2 months later all my stuff had been unpacked and the bags where gone.
    Nothing was ever said.

When I was 12,we were in a shopping mall that had a Santa there. And my mother waited in line with all these kids to sit on his lap. And then made him red-faced by asking him what he had in his sack for her. We were so embarrassed we all sort of wandered off in different directions pretending we didn't know her, heh.
