The Connemara Railway Project

The first rails of the Connemara Railway Project have just been laid at the old Maam Cross Station. If anybody can bring this scheme to fruition, Jim Deegan is that man. i get the impression it's more a scheme to restore the station and it's environs as a visitor centre rather than a railway project as such.

It's a novel approach and and I wish it well.
