Mortgage Exception

    At what point would you be confident you will receive a mortgage exception?

    Our situation is that the regional manager approved the exception request to go for approval with their credit team and they have instructed a valuation on the property.

    Is it time to relax and stop panicking about if we can afford the house?

    If applying this early in the year you should be fine, they can run out by June (depending on demand).

    We have had a bank already tell us they have run out of their exceptions! Which seems mad to me. The advisor was telling us how easy it would be for us to get it with them, but he submitted it and the next day we were told no, that they were gone.

    Just scared it may happen again, but this one does seem one step further than the other but hard to compare banks on their processes
