Social Housing Income Threshold

    Hi

A friend of mine is going through the acceptance of a social housing and nett incomes leaves her approximately 155 euro per year over the threshold.

She is getting her acceptance forms together and getting hold of the housing officer for help ( on holidays this week)

Would they withdraw the offer based on 155 euro nett per year over the threshold ?

She will probably get her wages reduced to ensure she doesn't lose out as she has waited a long time for the house offer .

Do they give any sort of percentage/amount tolerance level over the threshold ?

    Thanks

155 a year prob wont get the offer removed, but then again the housing system is quite strict so its really hard to tell, she only has about 2 weeks to get all these documents in so not enough time to change her salary as they will prob ask for payslips

Thanks , she has sent in all the paperwork today and explained the situation in writing too .
Fingers crossed they are understanding about the situation , so far the housing office have been very helpful to her in the whole process , she’s been waiting 6 years and was overjoyed with her offer of housing .

We were applying for carers benefit a few years ago and the missus was working 15 hours a week because that was the limit and her job had to give her these hours but it was refused because she clocked out a few minutes late a few time so she was working 15 hours and 7 minutes some weeks. I think the people in these offices are very bitter and begrudging and will look for reasons to refuse. Those few minutes cost us about 5k in back payments, dont assume they will just be human and say ah sure it's only 155 in a year, they are looking for excuses.

Hi, Very interested in this, could i ask what the outcome was, and/if it was resolved, what way did it unfold. Cheers

It is called a threshold for a reason. It is a set level.
    The application should be rejected.

Also, only 6 years wait for social housing? Which part of the country is this?
