I just checked on NCT website where you can check NCT due date for a vehicle.
I entered a reg number of vehicle which I exported (to Poland) over a year ago, and NCT shows that their database shows this vehicle as scraped.

I wonder where does this come from, and how would this affect that vehicle if I ever decided to bring it back to Ireland and reregister.
VRT refund was never reclaimed for that vehicle, therefore I'm even surprised that they got the info that vehicle was exported. What I don't understand though is why it's marked as scraped instead of being marked as exported.

    Anyone had such case?

Perhaps when it went to Poland and had the registration changed over, the polish authority informed here and it was marked as scrapped as a result.

I suppose that's the only logical explanation of where that info came from.

However I wonder why they marked it as scraped and not exported.
And how would it affect the car if it's brought back to Ireland, especially that I was informed before that if VRT was not reclaimed then reregistering car in Ireland is only based on reapplying for reg cert, taxing it and NCTing.
