    Does the gear shifter move?
That's a very odd one, I had an e60 and can't imagine what's going on.

What do you mean by when you start car it jumps from drive to park anyway?
I assume you start it in park? And when going to drive it goes back to park?

An automatic car is started in Park with your foot on the brake.
Once running you can shift it to Drive.

Might be an idea to flush and change the gearbox fluid.

Sounds like a mechanical or hydraulic issue.

A specialist to diagnose and repair the box will be very expensive. I'd say it might be cheaper to just find a replacement gearbox for it.

Ya I'd imagine it could do with a flush and a new filter/sump and fluid. But I have seen the odd selector module give trouble also.

But if it's happening when cold as I said above should be ur first port of call. And when that's being done have the electronic selector module read for faults
