might be off topic question in here, but passed go safe van today on motorway, parked in garda lot with what seemed emergency lights on , one of the back doors doors open and two operators looking at motorway, as speed goes prob was within 7+/- km speed limit, as thought someone broken down or road works so didnt think much, that said dunno if they were prepping for peak traffic or packing up, as two guys were out of the van, is it still possible to be done for points. As know old posts state even few kms can easily land one letter, wouldnt be concerned with fine, but under 10km/h points stuck for 3 years doesn't sound appealing either.

as do know once they are calibrated its all auto mode, but wonder if 2 of them were out of the van, with hazard lights on can it still be checking speed.

I'd say your 99% grand. Usually when they have the back door open they are either setting up/packing up.
