Footage of Christine Chubbuck shooting herself on live tv
The toolbox killers tape
Timothy Treadwell being eaten by bears in Alaska (the audio is available on Youtube here but the video is locked in a vault somewhere)
The uncut version of Stanly Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut

It's more of a morbid curiosity for me but the lost media doesn't necessarily have to related to torture or death. It could be related to pop culture or an old TV show.

I dont think there is any actual video of the Timothy Treadwell incident as the lens cap was on the camera, its really just the audio, although that was from the Werner Herzog documentary that I watched years ago so could be wrong.

Brandon Lee Death Footage

The Crow is a 1994 action/horror film. During production in 1993, Brandon Lee was on the set filming an action scene. In the middle of a stunt, a gun that was loaded with blank cartridges suffered a malfunction. The spent blank casing from an earlier shot was jammed into the barrel. Upon using the gun again, the second blank went off and propelled the cartridge from the earlier shot forward, which hit Lee. He was rushed to the hospital and died later that day.

His death was caught on camera and was allegedly destroyed under the insistence of the director. However, some of the cameramen claim otherwise, including one who even claimed to own a copy of the death footage. This footage has never been released or seen, and no legitimate stills from the footage have been found either, which suggests that these claims may be fake.

It used to be on RTE on Saturday mornings in the 80's I think either during or after Anything Goes.

I loved the book as a kid.

Do we know if video footage of the crash exists or just photos? We have the video of JFK being murdered so why not Princess Diana? It's a matter of historical record and so should be in the public domain.
