Well, it’s odd to me. I think I know the reason but thought I’d ask here.

I’m considering buying a Defender 90. Went to view yesterday, solid machine.
It was brought in from the UK last year.
I ran it through the MOT check and and it’s only showing the last MOT(last January). Reg is E974 CCD.
    Thoughts?

Doesnt the MOT check just check the status of the last MOT.

Did you try anything like https://www.cartell.ie/ssl/servlet/beginStarLookup?registration=E974+CCD

Could it have been stored off the road for a few years in uk?
It does only have the 1 record available on mot site.

It expired in Jan 2020, if it was imported last year it was tested Jan 2019 and is valid for 12 months!

    Colour Blue

    Fuel type Diesel

    Date registered 22 December 1987

MOT expired on 23 January 2020

Yep that’s it. The last MOT is showing.
The MOT was transferred to a CRVT and is valid for another year here.
A vintage CRVT is valid for 2 years here I think.

The seller mentioned that the motor spent most of its life in Guernsey. A quick google shows they don’t have MOT type testing there.
    Anyone ever come across this?

Irish reg is 87 KK 8015.

No, it should list them all.

Surely you have answered to your own question.
If it was in Guernsey, it won't have mot records.
All you need now is evidence that it was in Guernsey.

ah I know. Just threw it out here in case there was another possible reason.
No evidence present it originated in Guernsey I’m afraid so my search goes on.
