Currently me and my partner have HAP, but if we we were to get married, would we lose HAP? She cannot work and is on disability. I work thru an agency and my hours vary from 20 - 35hrs P.W.

It depends, how was the HAP assessed in the first place? Was it on both your incomes?

yeah it was assessed on both of us I wasn't working at the time. I've been told if we were to marry we'd lose it altogether. But I cannot support both of us alone. She cannot work due to her illness. So if we lose HAP we're homeless. Rent is so expensive and impossible to find a place.

    Nothing will change
You were HAP assessed as a couple, you'll be still a couple

Youll only lose your hap if you go over the income limit for the housing list in your area, which is inand around 35k for a couple if i remember right.

If you have had a change in circumstance since the means test you had for hap are already over the limit and have not got your currant hap means tested on your currant income then you maybe cut off anyway and asked to pay back the overpayments
