Moss in flower beds

    Hi,

Some of my established flower beds are covered in moss. With all the bulbs and perennial flowers budding it is difficult to get it out without damaging shoots. Any suggestions on a way to rid myself of the moss without disturbing all the flowers? The soil may need to be given something to change the conditions that suit the moss but again how to do so without damaging the very compact planting of flower plants in those beds?

    Thanks.

Moss has no developed root system so does not compete with your flowers like other plants that are more commonly described as weeds. There is no reason to remove it from your flower beds as the bulbs and perennial flowers will out grow it naturally.
