Hi

I have AIP for a mortgage with Bank of Ireland. Currently I don’t have a current account with Bank of Ireland but I open a current account before drawdown of the mortgage and keep the account open for 5 years, can I avail of the 3% instead of 2% cash back ?

Hi Robert,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on Boards.

The below are requirements for availing of the Cash Back offer.
• 2% Cashback at drawdown - available to First Time Buyers, Movers, Switchers, Buy to Let and with mortgage Top-Ups (Equity Release)
• Cashback PLUS - an extra 1% of the mortgage 5 years later, available to Bank of Ireland Personal Current Account customers who draw down a new First Time Buyer, Mover or Switcher mortgage within the Offer Period (30th June 2020).
• Cashback is not available with the High Value Mortgage fixed interest rate.
[*]

It would be necessary to have a Bank of Ireland Current account in order to avail of the extra 1% cash back.

Thanks, Aisling.

Hi Aisling

But would it be necessary to have the account before AIP stage or before drawdown? If I open an
Account now (ie after AIP and before drawdown) can I avail of the offer?

Best wishes

Rob
