Hi, any one with the above boiler. I'm looking to put in smart wifi controller, something like the hive active or EPH R27 with WiFi gateway. Just wondering if it works OK. All I'm interested in is turning it off or on if I'm away from the house with my phone etc. Thanks.

Yes should work just fine, if it has an integrated timer, this will need to be bypassed

Hi, the Firebird timer broke and an electrical mate put in electronic timer, going on this I was fairly sure the hive would work also. Just said I'd say around.

Save money, either leave off or go for an "A" rated high efficiency boiler.

Your just putting an efficient ON OFF switch on the equivalent of a ford cortina (look it up) beautiful car to the beholder. But just 20:mpg
