Any difference between penalty points and endorsement?

Hi folks, I’m trying to figure out if there is any difference between having 3 penalty points on your license for speeding and having an endorsement on your license.

I’m currently applying for a job which requires me to have a full unendorsed license. I received 3 points on my license a couple of years ago and am just wondering is my license no longer unendorsed?

I’ve tried to find a straight answer but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information do any help is appreciated.

I thought endorsed meant having points active on the license?

It shouldn't matter to anyone, if there's points that have expired.

OP says they got 3 points a couple of years ago, so not expired.

A couple is a very rough way of saying about 2, as opposed to explicitly meaning 2 though.

I think his question though, is what does "endorsed" mean and neither of us clearly answered it either :P

All penalty points are "endorsed" on your licence. If they're active (not yet expired) then you'd be ineligible for that job.
