Annual Leave entitlement if you hand in notice

    Hey all,

I'm just wondering what exactly are the rules around annual leave entitlements and handing in your notice. I assume that if you leave mid-way through the year, then you are entitled your allowance on pro-rata basis, but you're not entitled to actually take the time off, right? (e.g. if you leave on 30th June and have 4 weeks holiday enitlement and haven't taken any time off, you'd be entitled to 2 weeks off, but that wouldn't mean you'd be able to take those 2 weeks during your month's notice). If you can't take the time, you just get it as extra pay, right?

On the opposite scale, what happens if you have taken more than your allowance would be when you hand in notice? (e.g. if you have 4 weeks per year, you hand in notice to finish at end of June but have already taken 3 weeks off). Can you be made pay this back somehow?

    That's at the company's discretion.

Yes, it will be deducted from your final salary.
