Possibly not the first to wonder, and question, how to ...
    No,
Does anyone have even a small suggestion how to endure years of being belittled?

You don't endure it, you get the **** away from that person and never talk to them again.

    Thanks Realt.

It can be difficult, I find, to really know if I am always wrong.
    Thank you for your response

So what's the situation? How do they belittle you?

You absolutely shouldn’t be looking to endure it. You should be looking to escape it.

But the fact that you’re asking the question means that you’re starting to realise that you should escape it, so well done to you. That’s not an easy realisation. Could you phone women’s aid, or Amen?

There is no shelter for men, unfortunately.

You don't have to stay in a toxic relationship like this op, have you any family nearby that you could stay with? Are there any kids?

Op this is your third or fourth thread you have started all of them very vague.

No one can give proper guidance without a certain amount of detail.

No one is looking for your life history but I remember in the other threads people asking relevant questions and from memory there was no reply to these questions.

    No one is always wrong!

Look after yourself, remember you are your No1 priority (at least you should be), everything else stems from that!

    Mod note:

OP I know this is a very sensitive subject for you and probably very difficult to talk about. However if you want to receive more specific and meaningful advice here, I encourage you provide more detail so that posters can advise you accordingly.

I was just thinking the same, I remember one recently.

Are you married? Do you have kids?

If you don't have kids then its time for you to get out of this toxic/abusive relationship.

If he has children they are probably being belittled and abused as well. Seeing their father being belittled and abused will damage them.

OP have you contacted AMEN? If the situation is bad enough you may have to get a safety or barring order against whoever is belittling or emotionally abusing you. If it is on a subtle sneaky level they will advise you on that too.

Nobody should put up with being belittled all the time. I witnessed my mother being belittled daily by my father and he belittled me as well and still does if he can get away with it. No matter what happened she would not leave him, she was too cowed and intimidated by him. It was hell and seeing her belittled made me ripe bait for abusive relationships later.

Emotional abuse happens in all walks of life, in all relationships gay or straight. You do not have to put up with it. Seek help.
