Could anyone give me a very rough costing to fit a replacement gas boiler in a 3 bed semi – High Efficiency 24kW Ideal Logic System Boiler, new flue, including all parts and labour and pipes & fittings?

Getting a few prices to compare before committing. In Co Cork.

    Thanks

You may get someone to do it for as little as €1800 all depending on how straight fwd the change is and they would most likely not be flushing the system. At this time of year I would be budgeting 22-2500, which should get you a new (Boiler/magnaclean/ timer and flush). May be cheaper if you can wait till the warmer months when the lads are less busy.

If you are getting a replacement boiler - would the pipes need replacing ?

We just got ours replaced - we wanted the ideal but ended out "upgrading" to the Worcester Bosch (we decided 18kw is sufficient), anyway total cost for us was approx €3500 (all in).

Check if you are entitled to grants, I believe there's some good money to be claimed back on grants (think we qualify for about €1000 back)
You have to pay it out first then claim it back.
