Would it be difficult to get a job in Dublin if I'm a man with long hair?

Is there still a stigma attached to it?

    No. And no.

However, hair should always be clean and tidy.

    It depends.

If your near tidy and clean them it’s no bother.

If you look like you’ve been stranded on a desert island for ten years without soap, I’d say it would be a problem.

    Depends on the role.

I think it very much depends, and more context is required to give a definitive answer. For instance, please consider the following:

From a health and safety perspective, could you, or anyone else, trip over it?

Is it coming from your head, knuckles, or nether regions? If you are applying for a role as a hand or underwear model, then long hair could indeed be a challenge.

Would you use copious amounts of hair spray, and does the work itself require welding?

Does the work involve interactions with animals, which could introduce a harmful effect on any wildlife nesting in your locks.

I have many many more questions, but it might be wiser to share some context on your hair situation and career aspirations so I can narrow down my response.

No, with the exception of some customer facing roles.

If any of these actually apply, this response shall be legendary.

You’ve asked the same question three times. Time for a trip to the barbers.
