Hi, what is the rate for jobseekers allowance at the moment for a 21 year old?

I might see if I can apply for JB first based on stamps but think I might not have enough.

Don't forget if you walk out of your job they may disqualify you for the first 9 weeks

Thank you, I ended up walking out today unfortunately (was getting so sick of it..)

Went straight to social welfare to at least put in an application in the meantime. I told her I walked out of my job, she said put in a note to explain why etc and gave me the application.

She said I may be entitled to the jobseekers benefit of €159 per week. Hopefully.have an appointment on Tuesday so fingers crossed they're feeling kind!

Ask to be means tested for JSA instead but it’s means tested so it depends who you are living with.

She gave me the app form for both and I ticked the box that said yes I want to apply for jsa too

Would it not be better to apply for JSB and JSA to see if I can get the €159 on JB instead of just €112 on JA??

And I'm living with my mam, so I'm providing her payslips etc for JA anyway
