    Hi,

Had lots of pain suddenly start over the weekend, went to my usual practise, but my dentist is on holiday for two weeks (how dare he!).

Went to an emergency clinic nearby. Abscess under left lower 6, so it's either a root canal + crown or extraction.

Got a letter of referral to an endodontist and was given a list of three clinics.

On checking, the specialists had moved from all three practises, so I didn't get a ring of confidence that they were keeping their list up to date.

Had a bad experience with a certain 'God-like' endodontist in Dublin 10 years ago on right upper 5 - four roots and the tooth eventually fell apart as it was heavily restored over the years anyway. Cost €1,500 and ended up getting an implant in the end.

    Thanks.

4 roots on an upper 5?
