Mileage Reimbursement

I'm working in the construction industry with a main contractor. The head office is Dublin based but the site I'm working on is at Dundalk.

I'm 2 days in the office and then 3 days on site. I'm currently using my private car for travelling which is over 180km travel everyday I'm on site. So you can imagine using the Civil rates, it can be a lot in terms of reimbursement.

I've asked my company about this and they said they'll get back to me but its taking them awhile. I just wanted to post here and ask if I should be eligible to claim back my mileage?
Also I dont know if it matters but they provided me car allowance for using my private car. But this is taxed and is definitely not enough to cover the travel!

I was reading about the "Country Money" allowance for people working in the construction industry which is a set allowance per week. But I assume this is only for people working in different sites?
