"I wont enter a coalition government with Sinn Fein" he says just days before the surge of Sinn Fein.

Now he is willing to "talk to them".

If he does end up going into government with them he has broken one of his pre election promises straight away and ff voters may feel betrayed.

If he doesnt he wont be following the will of the people.

If he cannot form any kind of government another election will be called and sinn fein will put up more candidates. More than likely ending up with a bigger Sinn Fein.

    What are his choices here?

This is better suited to Politics, where there's already plenty of discussion on the outcome of the election, so I'm just going to close this thread.
