Glow worm Flexicom SX leak?

All, just a quick query regarding a Glow worm Flexicom SX. It appears to run fine, no errors appearing on the display, Temp set to 82C, and the pressure is set to 1.2 bar, at least that what it says on the display when it is not running.

However we seem to be getting leaking water which seems to be coming out an outlet underneath the boiler. I had a look today and there appears to be 2no. outlets underneath the boiler. One is connected with a flexi to a drain pipe which drains out the external wall of the house. The second one does not have any flexi connection, but there now seems to be water coming out at this point.

Its not flowing water but you could collect enough in a bowl for a week, the water is not clear, but grey black in colour, any taughts anyone

Forgot to add that the flow is not consistent. It comes sometimes and other times it does not, anyone care to elaborate

What is the water pressure when running? (exceeding 3 bar I'd guess) water is from your safety valve (that should be also piped outside)

You need an RGI to check for you.

Thanks for the comment. will probably get someone to look at this. The left hand side outlet is the condensate drain pipe which connects out to the external side wall. The right hand side seems to be called up in the manual below, its named the 'Safety Discharge Valve'

yup, as I said, this should also be piped to outdoors, and the drip is related to possibly a failed or low charge expansion vessel

Thanks, how do I know which one it is. Is it best to get RGI to look at this, or could this be pinpointed to the cause first

The boiler pressure (when hot) should indicate ~ 2.8/3.0 bar if EV problem.

The boiler pressure seems to be maintaining the 1.2 bar pressure, temp at 82C, what else could it be, could it be a diaphragm issue

The boiler pressure cannot stay constant between cold and hot conditions and depends on EV capacity, system contents, pre charge & filling pressures and flow/return temps. It would normally rise 0.5 to 1.0 bar so if your pressure is 1.2 bar at 82C you should see ~ 0.5 bar when cold, if no change then pressure gauge/display is faulty or blocked.

    Yes you need an RGI
