The road outside my own place is bad with deep potholes. When the council where out filling potholes on the road above me, I asked them to fill them on my road however the council worker mentioned he couldn't as he had instructions to stick to the map provided however he would look into it for me. Received a phone call next day informing me that it's not owned by the council, it's a J??? Road and if I wanted it fixed there was a charge. He said he wouldn't know the costs but could be a thousand euro to cover the full road and to ask the other neighbors to all chip in for the cost. This road would be a cple hundred meters long. Would he be right with his 1000 estimate or would this just be for filling potholes but one thing I did remember, he definitely did say relay the road.
