It’s a €1700 car with €1500 dealer margin on top.
Dealer has to make a living, and prep the car to a certain standard - even if retailing a 13 year old car.

My advice would be to buy a newer, better car with the money privately. The Auris Terra is quite basic and isn’t that sought after.

There is no value in buying cars of that age from dealers.

We had that model car before. Lethargic engine and numb handling in the bends but faultless otherwise. Timing chain engine as well with no interval.

Note that tax goes up for 2008 cars onwards. 570 vs 385 EU.

We had car with 1 kid and the car worked well.

Its a good car if your a first time buyer.

Absolutely ****e car if you want even decent pick up speed.

Its terrible slow going up hills even on low gears. A/C drains the power (the little that it has) its actually very noticable. Although I am not sure if that model has A/C.

Its also the most basic model and imho way over priced (I understand dealers gotta make money)

How do I know this? I have an 08 Auris luna, its a year younger then that, with about 20km more on the clock but its also the next best in "spec" if you like.
I plan on selling mine (or scrapping) in may and I can tell you now I would be lucky to get half that price in cash.

Seriously if you are looking at a car that old and have 3-4k to spend on it, go private and get a better car or pick up an auris for a hell of alot cheaper if you really have your heart set on getting one.

edit : I must also tell you that its very reliable, I never had an ounce of trouble with mine. I probably wouldnt get rid of it in the next few months if it wasnt for the fact that its just too slow.
