    Can I sign on today if I worked a half day today?

    You can go to the SW office and say that you are available for work
    They will give you all the forms to complete and an appointment to come back and be interviewed by a deciding officer.

    Lately some locations have been doing it all in the one visit, depending on how busy they are.

    So - make sure you take all paperwork you could possibly need with you the first day you go.

    Where I live it doesn’t matter how busy or otherwise they are. You take the forms away fill them in and come back 2 days later.

    You could also go looking for another job the same day you finish work
