Just noticed a new sign up at the entrance to where I live. Regional Broadband. Anyone ever hear of them?

The hope is they can offer Fiber but more than likely its more geared towards Fixed Wireless.

I was speaking to one of their sales girls yesterday, €199 to install, she said speed showing as "fair" for our postcode so would be hopeful for 20-30Mbs. It's LTE & €49 a month on a 24 month contract.

It sounds similar to Imagine, in that the engineer comes to the property runs a speed test & if you're happy he goes ahead & installs. She said there is a two week cooling off period.

We're with Pure using the old Eircom phone line, we're about four miles from the exchange & get 2.6Mbs but it never changes. We've tried using a phone as a hotspot & 4G varies between 2-5Mbs.

What does anyone think please, is it as dodgy as Imagine have come across in recent threads.
