Recondition Hydraulic ram

    I need to get a ram reconditioned the chromes is pitted and the seals also need doing. Am I as well off buying a new one as the rubber on the hoses os going as well and the wire is visible.

    If it’s a top-link I reckon just get a new one and keep old one as a back up.

    It might be easier and cheaper to get a new ram that fits. A new ram could cost 200 + VAT. Re doing the ram might be a small bit cheaper but if they run into issues with the ram that's when it gets expensive.

    The hoses will be a separate issue no matter which way you go. New rams would be sold as just the ram itself. The hose will be extra.
