Anyone recommend a nice town/Villiage in Spain for a few days to relax with good food?
    Thanks

Estepona, Benalmedena on the Costa del Sur.

Depends on what part, where you want to fly into?

It is a very broad question to be fair, how will you be traveling, would you drive over there?

We flew into Barcelona, went to a campsite near a small town called altafulla.

We rented a car and we planned to split our time between local areas and Barcelona.

It turned out that the local larger town Tarragona was lovely and pretty and full of good food so we spent most of the time there.

Lots of lovely places there and different experiences to be had, this is just mine.

Caucín, just in from the Costa del Sol. Beautiful village with great food. About an hour by car from the beaches, lovely drive too.

We are in Madrid for a few days, then will have 4 days for anywhere. Might rent a car or go by train.

    Any hidden gems out there?

Cannot recommend the north of Spain enough. Basque country is beautiful and the food is miles above the rest of the country.

Bilbao is a great city for a few days, direct flights too.

Mostly by train - Alacala de Henares, Pedraza(near Segovia but need a car), Aranjuez, El Escorial, Avila(about 2hrs by car), Toledo

Seville is always worth a visit... bit more of a city than a town

If you're looking for somewhere for a weekend break I'd suggest Girona. Beautiful old town. Fabulous food. Nice walks. Not expensive at all.
Me and Mrs OldRio spent a few days there last year. Lovely place.

Malaga City is a gem of a city, most people only see the airport and their hired car, its class city to walk around with great restaurants and cervecerias with a great atmosphere.

Seville is another class city i'd recommend

p.s. a great way to get around these cities is by the electric scooters that are scattered all around the cities

Malaga is lovely, very laid back with fantastic restaurants. I've been 3 times in the last 18 months!
