Quick question. I've never been paid monthly before so if I start a job mid February and they pay monthly do I get 2 weeks worth in Feb or wait until March?

It depends if you have made the salary cut off for that month. Every place is different, but it's certainly gotten better from 10 years ago in my personal experience.

It's completely reasonable to ask HR or finance if you have made the cut off this month though.

    Exactly this.

Usually it's something like if you start before the 18th of the month, you'll be included in that month's payroll.

It also depends on how small/large the company is.

A small place can pretty much include you immediately. A large place probably has rules and inflexibility.
