Results were released yesterday to stations for publication today....

any guess as to how it might go?

2FM / Today FM lunchtimes could be interesting. as could the Cork market.

RTE Radio 1 head Tom McGuire said that it was “poignant” to see the late Marian Finucane’s surge in listenership for her Sunday show.

The latest JNLR figures reveal that the legendary broadcaster gained 19,000 more listeners for her eponymous weekend programme, bringing her up to 309,000.

Her Saturday morning show had a slight drop of 2,000 down to 341,000 but was still the most-listened to show on the weekends.

“It was particularly poignant for us to see the great performance of Marian reflected in her programme’s increase. Her Sunday show went to over 300,000 and that’s a really brilliant performance,” he said.

Looks like a bad book for Nova, particularly in Dublin. If I’m interpreting correctly Sunshine, from the same stable has two 2 1/2 times it’s audience .

Following the sudden death of Marian Finucane last month, it looks like the replacement programme called "The Weekend on One" presented by Brendan O'Connor on Sat/Sun 11am-1pm is to be replaced around the middle of March according to RTÉ Radio 1 head, Tom McGuire in an article published in the Irish Independent where Marian's figures particularly on Sundays had increased in her final book.

Meanwhile, Miriam O’Callaghan made huge gains in the latest survey, given that her Sunday programme jumped 29,000 listeners up to 265,000.

"The Doctor will see you now"
or maybe not for much longer.

Lunchtime Live on Newstalk loses more listeners is the latest book (Q4 2019)

Over the course of the year, she has managed to drive away 16 per cent of the audience, shedding 17,000 listeners.

It should be pointed out that all Newstalk daily programmes with the exception of 'Off the Ball' and 'Business Breakfast' lost audience, book on book.

Am I wrong to suggest that 2fm new shows aren't doing as well?

On RTÉ 2fm, which is about to embark on a fresh schedule shake-up and repositioning of the station, the final 12-months listenership figure for mid-morning show Nicky Byrne with Jenny Greene was 155,000.

This was up 2,000 since the last survey and 7,000 year-on-year and was also the show’s highest audience in more than three years.
Jennifer Zamparelli on 2FM has 157,000 listeners, (+1,000 BOB).

2fm’s Breakfast Republic, which has an audience of 188,000, will be replaced with a new breakfast show presented by Doireann Garrihy and Eoghan McDermott, who will move from drivetime.

2FM Breakfast with Doireann and Eoghan has 142,000 listeners tuning in on weekday mornings (+7,000 BOB).
Music-focused early afternoon presenter Tracy Clifford, who has grown her audience from 129,000 to 147,000 over the past year, will start her show one hour earlier at 12pm in the 2fm re-jig.
Tracy Clifford on 2FM has 134,000 listeners.

No figures for Drive time show with Eoghan and it would also be included in Game On's figures where were not released!
Jenny Greene on 2FM has 130,000 listeners.

You are probably right Elmo - I just cannot tune into RTÉ 2fm as a radio station anymore as I've no interest in 98% of the music or other content as it is pitched at a more younger demographic.

I had drifted to Today fm for many years but now I rarely tune in to this station too especially since Friday Night 80's and Jim O'Neill's shows were axed. I tend to listen mainly to RTÉ Radio 1, Newstalk and Classic Hits in addition to tuning in to mid-morning shows on my local stations 96FM and also Redfm in Cork.

If digital radio station: "RTÉ Gold" was made more widely available on FM in the car, I would enjoy it as a break from speech programming but I don't ever hear RTÉ publicly advocate for that service so it looks like it is only a matter of time.

I reckon she might achieve more audience share on a specialist show broadcast on weekends. Ciara could also add some much needed balance to some discussions as a contributor like she used do on "The Right Hook" with George Hook, Shane Coleman & Dave McIntyre on Friday evenings a few years back. This along with a health check-up segment on one of the main daytime shows during the week is also worthwhile for listeners.

I'm not much of a fan of the current "Lunchtime Live" programme and I don't think it's all down to the current presenter alone as the relief presenters following the same format does not make me want to tune in at that time.

Apologies if I'm not seeing it and it's linked here, but is there anywhere you can see the breakdowns by show, or is that information not released to the general public?

I can see on the link provided above provides the age and location breakdown per station, but nothing more than that?
    Thanks!

Depends on the broadcaster. They don’t always issue there full results. They issue press releases.

I had a feeling that was the case, press releases skim the parts they may not want to publicise I guess. Thanks for the answer!
