Hi I’m currently paying €130 A month to sky!! Crazy!
What options do I have? I have a q box with multi room hd, sport and movies. Total waste of money as I don’t watch half the channels. Are those dodgy box’s any good? I’d want a system as user friendly as sky that records

You might need to change your LNB though as the default Sky Q one is wideband, and won't work with the solution listed here.

If you want Sports and Movies then you need to pay subscriptions to Sky or other providers.

If not then a Free to Air system would do as referenced by dulpit above.

Free to Air/Saorview Netflix and NOW TV (When I want) serves all my needs now.
You will have plenty of channels and can there is always offers with NOWTV if your a sports fan.

If you have decent broadband NOW TV is the best option. You can take it anywhere (Even on holiday) month to month contracts.
To be honest the traditional way of TV watching is dead now.
The internet is your friend for everything. NowTV, Netflix etc etc. No long contracts, pick and choose what you want and like a previous poster pointed out, there are always promotions to be had. Thats the beauty of a month contract, you can pick the promotions up if and when they come along.
