    It could be too far away from the wireless router and he is getting a bad signal.

    You could try using homeplugs

    Get yourself a powerline setup to have the PS4 cabled instead using your electrical mains. Worked wonders for me as I don't have an Ethernet network in my old house.

    You can pick up a kit from Argos easy. Tp-Link.
