I just recently had joy with unlock.ie after getting the runaround from a couple of eBay sellers.

    Be careful with this now.
Things like strong customer authentication through phones may not work in unlocked / rooted phones.

If locked to 3, then the unlockers can't unlock. You must go through 3

it is 3.are you sure they cant unlock? even the likes of doctor sim cant unlock? the phone is a samsung galaxy note 9 and I dont even have a sim card in it though it was bought in a 3 shop.but I tried to put a non 3 sim into my phone so it's obviously network locked.so would 3 unlock it for a fee or would I have to get a sim card put in then top up until eventually I can get it unlocked?

Since September 2019, you cannot install AIB Mobile or Tablet Banking apps on any phone or tablet that has been jailbroken* (Apple products) or ‘rooted*’ (Android products), as the app will not work on such devices for security reasons.

    Network unlocking isn’t rooting.

    Network unlocking isn’t rooting.

Ive seen it done through rooting plenty of times.
My point is just be careful

An online seller of unlock codes cannot root your phone.

network unlock means you can use any sim card in phone, not just the ones from the network provider who who provided the phone originally

rooting means gaining root access to your phone

you don't get network unlock by getting root access
