    Hi

My mam is looking for insurance, and I need to be on it as I'm yet to pass the test. I have been on a provisional for 4 years and Chill have quoted us 1800!

Does anyone have have recommendations for insurance companies?

Aviva a number of years back were good, no idea if they still are.

On a side note at 4 years you should be at a standard to pass the test, just keep applying until you pass, it's a pain but has to be done, much easier to get cover.

Companies quotes are changing all the time so hard to say but from people I know AN Post insurance seems to be the best for named drivers. Friends son who was 19 got named insurance for 850 with them. Edit: He was still on provisional.

Second in the list is Liberty but ring another few companies after that.

Personally I’d do my ten lessons if not done allready and try to get the test out of the way first if not badly stuck for the car.

An Post just have us a quote of 1K. That's fantastic.

Only issue is when I add my student brother the quote is 3K

Was he on the quote for 1800? If not what was the quote with him added?

Try Liberty and keep shopping around.

Strange though it went up that high.

I’d get your Mom to ring An Post and see why.

They might bring it down over the phone.

A.I.G saved me a few hundred last time. I find them good.
