Can i change windows/patio doors in an extension that was not exempt from planning. House has been renovated and required planning permission for several changes. Can I change the glazing and position of patio doors at the back of the house without planning.
    Thanks in advance

So the house is in contravention of the planning act ie the law, and you want to alter the non-compliant building?
I think you know the answer.

No, there is full planning for everything in the house. Usually downstairs windows and doors are exempt from planning but Im not sure if that's the case when planning has been given for a previous development, are minor alterations like windows exempt.
I wouldn't have asked if I knew the answer, the tone of your response is inappropriate for a moderator IMO

I think the op means they have planning for alterations to the house and is asking if they can alter slightly window positions while building.

    Edit: op clarified above.

Where does he say the house in contravention of the planning act? He's clearly said it required planning permission?

Sorry, I can see why there's confusion. Planning permission was given because the extension would not have qualified for an exemption. The house is fully compliant with planning regulations. The extension was completed many years ago but I'm unsure if I need to seek planning to change window positions, patio door (normally exempt)
    Thanks

    Apology accepted.

Assuming the window/door is to the rear of the house, you should be ok.
