Sell out Sinn Fein: A terrible choice

One thing that strikes me is Sinn Fein selling themselves as a republican or Nationalist party when they clearly aren't.

I think they are a terrible alternative and a massive sell out party for a few reasons.

One thing is they change policy to suit the electorate.

A good example of this is just 4 year ago Sinn Fein were pro life, refusing to back bills for abortion and not accepting bills brought forward by that other Marxist header Clare Daly. Fast forward three years and they might as well be funded by Planned parenthood such is their overwhelming support for abortion!.

Regardless of your opinion on the issue Surely a party should stick to it's principles?.

They support terrorist organisations like the the IRA and Antifa, actively sell their crap on their website.

In other countries Nationalist parties at least question direct provision and the money spent on asylum seekers. Not so sell out Sinn Fein actively support immigration and refuse to question it and refuse to defend Irish Citizens in relation to defending free speech, the shell to sea people, refuse to defend the land league and people being evicted from their homes and refuse to acknowledge the natural assets Ireland has ie oil, gas, our fisheries etc.

What about their stance on IRA murders?

People like Paul Quinn, Jerry McCabe?.

    Defending silence.

    How virtuous eh?.

Their election promises sound like bullcrap as well build 100,000 houses in 5 years?.

(probably put Asylum seekers in them in line with their Marxist indoctrination!)

How about taking 1 million workers out of USC?.

    I don't buy it for a minute.

A vote for Sinn Fein to me is a wasted vote for the biggest flip floppers and sell outs going.

Another bunch of champagne socialists lining their own pockets at the expense of the Irish.

im far from a SF head

but a party that changes based on the electorate isnt really an unhealthy thing

i mean if you only voted for them out of habit, thats on you

but if theres movement in the offerings each election, great as far as im concerned

It's like an alt-right word jumble.

    Whatever the hell that means!.

Suppose it comes with Antifa Balaclava's, lunch box and flask as part of a starter pack on buzzwords to label people with for those who can't think for themselves!.

I see the boards right wing crowd are really stepping up the anti SF posts over the last day or so.

    Scared of something?

    Change.

Is this another Nationalist Party thread started by a "new user" afraid to say vote the Nationalist Party because they know themselves it's absurd?

Lonesomerhodes claims to be a man of the right but isn't a patriot.

    Amazing.

No chance that you would ever have been down in the short strand snuggled in the bosom of a provie company with a comrade on your left and with a comrade on right and with a clip of ammunition for your little armalite.

    Establishment getting scared now :)
The 2 main headlines in the Indo mention the IRA,
Pathetic having to drag up old nonsense because FG / FF can't stand on any actual record of competence

Sinn Fein were in power in Northern Ireland and got fixated on the irish language act so they shelved everything else for 3 years.

SF bow to the political winds, if it meant kowtowing to the lobbying groups and the stripping of rights from the unborn, well that is no different from any other mainstream party.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,019 ✭✭✭I see sheep

You say 'old nonsense' but the IRA murdered Paul Quinn in 2007.

The recession caused a huge spike in suicides (I know more than one case due to financial troubles after it) and god only knows how many die due to the terrible health care system.

I don't condone of course what some thugs did to Paul Quinn but I don't see SF as responsible for every murder connected to republicans in the north.

The fact they didn't put the numbers up that can actually form a government says it all.

They have no interest in forming a government.

Day after day LOL I have started 3 threads in total on this whole site!.

Funny the Marxist headers with like 25,000 posts constantly posting left wing crap everyday will come on here and go 'Oh right wing people coming on here posting'. Or re reg right wing heads this and that.

Do these people have no tolerance for debate or understand hypocrisy at all?.

Their lack of self awareness is staggering!.

    It's not old though.

Any time SF's current links to the IRA are brought up, they deflect and bluster.

They've continually refused to deny that the IRA are still actively engaging in (and directing) Sinn Féin party policy.

Their economics have grown up over the last decade, their plans while still a bit shaky are at least no longer off the wall.

But the fact is that Sinn Fein are still, today, being run by terrorists.

This is not dragging up old nonsense or living in the past. This is the current reality.

Mary-Lou needs to stand up in front of the public and say on the record that Sinn Féin have cut ties with the IRA and are an independent political party.

Now, there may very well be good reasons why she won't. It might actually damage peace in the North were she to do so. Nevertheless, she has to explain that. Otherwise nobody knows who we're actually voting for.

Sinn Fein are protecting the murderers of Paul Quinn. The International Monitoring Commission confirmed that he was beaten to death in a Monaghan barn by members of the IRA.

Sinn Fein MLA Conor Murphy spread lies about the murder of Paul Quinn, claiming that it was down to him being 'involved in criminality', when really it was because he got in a row with a member of the Provisional IRA South Armagh Brigade.

    This isn't 'old nonsense'.

    Amazing people forget about this.

They would have definitely known the murderers without doubt and sheer silence on the issue.

Conor Murphy as mentioned tried to downplay it.

It's like ah sur that was all in the past and all up North sur tis grand now we have a woman leader sur aren't we progressive.

    No it's not!.

Sinn Fein have deliberately protected murderers in this millennium not 40 year ago as many would want you to think.
