Ya same here, first civil service interview. Very disheartened coming out but it’s easy focus on the negatives I guess. Had one guy playing bad cop. Ah well. Any idea of a timeline for hearing back.

I asked during the interview was told we should know by the end of Feb. Interviews are going on for 2 weeks with 2 sets of interviews so they are interviewing a lot of it

That's interesting. Was it the questions he was asking, or something else?

Just seemed like he was trying too hard to catch me out. Asked how I make decisions- I rambled off the usual, explore options, get facts etc. “And how do you make decision?” - stumped I said “I may also get the opinion of a colleague” - “oh! So you get your colleagues to make your decisions”. That’s when I jumped across the table and then security escorted me out ;)

Taking to my mate who went for this competition, I think it will depend on the location and technical area that you went for.

One question they didn't ask the panel was how many positions they had open immediately and what area they were in, so they are planning to wait for a month or two and contacting them to see if there has been movement in the panel as it's only viable for twelve months.

I'll see if my mate has it and will attach to a post here.

Anyone email the panel movement to see if their number improved?

My mate finally got back to me with the information booklet.

They found out that they moved up the panel before the covid crap hit but haven't heard anything since.

they are not sure if they will hear anything given the money being rightly spent on prevention etc, but trying to stay positive on it.
