My front wall needs to be replaced as it in bad shape. Do I need to re build the wall to the same look as before or do I just need to keep the entrance to the same width and build wall to the same height? There is about 1 or 2 people on the road with unique pillars etc but I am just looking for cheapest option now and exclude the additional costs that would be attributed to any special features? There are two pillars either side of the entrance. Appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks

Once you keep the vehicular entrance to the same width and in the same location, you are free to enjoy the 1200mm exemption for walls to the front in my opinion.

Thank you. It's not vehicle access but foot. Does that make any difference. What's the 1200mm exception?

Max. height of boundary walls to the front of the house is 1200mm (exempt from planning). If you want something higher, you need planning permission.
