They're the 'N' stamps so still valid regardless of postage price increases. I bought oodles of these a few years ago on the same offer :D

Any indication as to when the N stamps will no longer be accepted?

Do they send an order confirmation email? Paid, it went to an error page, no email but card has been charged

Yes, they always send a confirmatory email.

There are no plans, as far as I can see, to say that N stamps will no longer be accepted.

Is an n stamp just like a €1 stamp? Or what’s different about it?

"N" and "W" stamps are "per letter" instead of having a face value; you won't have to pay extra if the cost of sending a standard letter increases before you use it.

are stamps still legal tender ? so they may not be able to sell 10 stamps with a value of €1 on each for €8 , or could turn out to be a bit of a cash for ash type situation !!

Thanks again for posting this. An Post announced they're increasing the price of stamps again so it's belatedly more of a bargain now.
Anyone who missed out might want to stock up on a few N stamps before the hike on March19th.

Stock up on W stamps too if you use them as they are going up in March as well.

Indeed. Just make sure they say N or W and they don't pawn you off with €1 or €1.50 ones!
