    Okay,
the OH who is coming into business with me, bringing her own work, does not like the name of my Ltd:pac:
Three places I see its needs changing
    1. CRO: fifty quid online and some paper work
    2. Bank: what will they need?
    3. Revenue: what will they want on ROS?

    No stationary/business cards/website/social media issues

All observations, comments and insights welcome, as always

“I can’t pay my staff or mortgage with instagram likes”.

This sounds a bit messy, and while the admin for changing name is necessary, it wouldn’t be my biggest concern...

What is the reason / purpose of this coming together in business?

    Are ye married?

Will the company be carrying on one trade or two trades after your other half “brings her own work” into it?

If her pre-existing business is profitable, has assets etc. how is her transfer of these to your company being effected? Is there money and/or shares changing hands or new shares being issued?

How soon is one or both of you likely to want to exit / retire, as there may be consequences for retirement relief depending on the answers to the preceding questions.

Bank will want a copy of the Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name.

    Barney,
Thanks for the insights, it's not a substance based business, we are both consultants so no assets etc of any value.
I have reserved the new name and see if it is accepted.
    Any thoughts on Revenue/ROS

Revenue will want the change of name sent in writing through myEnquiries. They will then check the new name against CRO and update accordingly.
