    hi all,

my old car, = Ford Focus 1.6 petrol 2006, which i have replaced, has a no crank, no start, flashing PATS issue.

I have used the dash test mode and have a number of errors relating to "low battery", but with no working obd2 port and "comms error".

I have replaced the battery as it had a few winters on it and have replaced the 3amp purple fuse in the fusebox under the bonnet. I have yet to try the car out.

If i still have flashing PATS light and battery errors etc, what should be my next stage ? It is a bit of a project car but im loathed to junk it if someone can do something relatively low cost.

Any tips / pointers etc welcome

    Regards

Where are you located. You more than likely need your dash clocks repaired.

Based in Mayo. Is clocks repair expensive?

Auto sense Castlebar. He has a Facebook page.

He's located in a unit behind Eurocarparts.

It's not overly expensive. You just have to remove the clocks. He repairs them. Once reinstalled the faults have to be cleared.

Just check the plugs on the fuse box in the passenger foot well first. Sometimes they get a kick by the passenger and come loose.

There may even be tutorials on youtube. It's only resoldering connections that has to be done I think.

Might be worth a look if you're any ways handy.

Thanks for the info, probably can get the clocks out but might leave the solder work to others
