xbox one, no internet so how to play games??

Hi, guy from work was selling his xbox one , so i bought it.. I have the xbox 360 and play games without internet all the time on it, but the one seems different, keeps asking to be connected and after i load games off disc onto it it says i cannot play them unless connected... Anyway to play offline or change settings??

It needs to be online top verify games I think and then can play them off-line. The XBox forum might be better placed to help.

Have you tried setting the console to offline? Some games require a connection to work at all. What games are you trying that give you the error?
