Tips for Skiing in Livigno, Italy

    Hi guys,

My girlfriend and I will be heading out to Livigno, Italy in a bit for 7 nights B&B, flying over to Munich (got return flights for 50eur) and then driving over.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips or recommendations for the area for the evenings or in general. Looking at the ski hire shops there are so many so just wondering if there is anything specific to watch out for. While I'd me an intermediate skier, my gf is a beginner so will probably look at a few lessons for her.

Any tips or comments would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you :)

That's a serious drive you have ahead of you, almost 400km. If you haven't booked/paid for accommodation yet you should think about going to somewhere like Soll in the Skiwelt (145km drive) or Mayrhofen (180km drive).
And if you are travelling Saturday to Saturday you could end up in serious traffic.
    Just my 2 cents

Everything is booked, in the plane atm actually!

Will be stopping in Mittenwald (less than 2h drive from MUC airport) for the evening and then heading over sat morning. I quite enjoy driving through places so don't mind. Worked out much cheaper this was and with less hassle going the Italian route as its difficult to get cars with winter tyres.

The traffic won't be great going in but at least we're heading back on the Sunday so should be easier then. Will look into the places you mentioned for next year though. Been to Livigno a long time ago and since we found such a great deal decided to go with it.
