Just looking for some input on weather or not I should get the car remaped.

    320d Auto N47 with 100k miles.

Chain was done last year and this where I'm wondering if i'd be playing with fire if I got it done giving the N47s issues. I don't want to put the chain under any unnecessary stress. Would a remap do that ?

I've seen online owners getting nearly 230 bhp but I don't want to go that high tbh, i'd be satisfied with around 200-210.

Was looking at getting TDR Performance who I believe is actually Joe Power to do the job, seems to have great reviews.

The aul lads one (exact same car, just more miles) is definitely quicker or more nippy I should say, especially under 3k rpm but my mechanic said it could be due to a bad airflow sensor/meter on mine. And that they don't show up on a diagnostic reader. Not too sure what to make of that tbh.

Contact Joe yourself, he's the most qualified to answer that question having done hundreds of N47 engines. I queried with him some years ago about a 525d which has the N47 with 215hp and he said it doesn't affect the chain at all, biggest issue from getting a higher output is back pressure from the dpf.

I'd recommend Joe having used him, the man knows his stuff.

I'd certainly get any issues you might have with the car sorted first though.
