2012 VW with door lock problems

I have a 2012 Touran that today it decieded to tell me on the display that the drivers door was open, even when it wasn't. Then I discovered that the electric windows don't work from the drivers door. However on the passenger side, front and rear, they work fine using their own switches. The right hand rear windows does not work, and the switch is not illuminated, which is the same for the drivers switches. NO illumination.
Also, the fuel filler door switch does not work. This happened a couple of times recently, for a breif moment or two, but would sort itself out after a couple of seconds.
I disconnected the battery for about 20 minutes, and when reconnected, the display would show that the door was closed. However, when the door is open, it still shows it's closed. For a few minutes, the drivers door window worked, as did the rear right, but the switches never illuminated, and the switches stopped working after a few minutes.

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

This is an electrical issue, probably the loom to the door

    Check the loom

Yep. I had a look there, and there were two broken wires. Although mine is different to the one in your picture, and has less wires by the looks of things. I was expecting it to be more than that, tbh, so delighted that it was a simple enough fix.
